Borrowing from Dave Ramsey’s baby steps to take control of your money

Source: Dave’s website

I love Dave Ramsey. There are 100s of financial advisors and talk radio hosts. But no one is as clear and authoritative on their objective advice as Dave Ramsey. Dave lives true to his 7 baby steps. He does not deviate from those, and does not make those baby steps subjective. Those are hard facts, like the ten commandments. You follow it, irrespective of your situation. He does not say, “…oh, under those circumstances you are in, I will advice you to borrow”.

I wish we have a health guru, just like him. Objective and something that works all the time, and objective. I am tired of listening to Keto, Paleo, etc. They are not universal. They are one track mind.

So I took it upon myself to write the 7 baby steps for health

  1. Be on caloric deficit if you want to lose weight. Be on caloric surplus if you want to gain weight.

2. Micronutrients are important. Add fruits and vegetables to your diet.

3. Have a healthy relationship with food. You eat to fuel body. Do not eat to entertain your mind.

4. Do not drink Soda or alcohol.

5. Do not eat out on a regular basis, fast food or just a normal restaurant.

6. Do not eat when you are bored.

7. Do not watch, listen or entertain yourself when you eat.
