The difference is lethargy

Problem: I have been proud of my soft feet for several years. However, as I am getting older, my feet is no longer soft. I see the wrinkle and hardness on the foot. This was especially noticed when I have to sleep under a sherpa blanket during winter. The sherpa material was rubbing against my hardened skin that made it very uncomfortable, to the point where I switched out to a cotton blanket that kept me cold at night.

Unproven Lethargic Solution: I resolved to putting L’Occitane hand cream on my foot right after I came out of shower. I thought this expensive cream would somehow make my feet magically soft again. This went on for a couple of week. While it provided an initial placebo, nothing really changed under the surface.

Real Proven Solution: I looked into YouTube, the ever knowing God of knowledge. It gave a simple solution of soaking your foot on epsom salt for 30 minutes and using pumice stone to rub off the dead skin. I bought a $10 foot soak bag from Walmart like the one pictured above, and viola, the next morning, after 30 minutes of soaking and rubbing off dead skin with a $1 pumice stone, my feet was soft and happy.

Lessons Learnt: Now it makes me wonder, how many such unproven solution I have been implementing in my life unknowingly. The real proven answers are all on the internet. All I need is to recognize the unproven solutions I am implementing in my life for universal problems that everyone around me are facing.
